Today I met Nasser and we really hit it off. It was a good, natural conversation and I felt like he was genuinely interested in what I was telling him about and vice versa. Nasser is a level 3 student here at CIES and when he finishes here he wants to go to TCC and start working towards getting his degree in mechanical engineering. He's from Kuwait and has been in the U.S. for a year. He likes soccer a lot and his favorite team is Real Madrid. We talked about the upcoming World Cup that is going to be held in Qatar and he helped me learn how to pronounce it correctly. Nasser likes nature and exploring and wants to experience the best that the United States has to offer while he is here so I told him about some of my travels and told him he should go to Yosemite National Park. I showed him some pictures of Yosemite and he was already asking me how much it might cost to visit. I showed him the Kayak application for booking plane tickets and gave him some advice on purchasing air fair.
