I met with Hee-Lee last Thursday and had a very good tutoring session. She had to give a presentation about someone she admired in her speaking class right after our session so she wanted me to give her some feedback before she gave the presentation in class. This was a very good opportunity for me to help her with her speaking and preparing sentences that she would have to stand in front of a crowd and deliver with confidence. This is probably anyone's least favorite thing to have to do, but is necessary in various situations.
Hee-lee had selected a Korean diplomat by the name of Bon Ki Moon as the person she admired and had collected some background information and pictures of him to use in her presentation. She had most of the project done and just needed a little help from me getting things polished off. I had her present it for me twice and helped her with some pronunciation and organization of ideas. All in all, I learned a few things that I didn't know about a classy, world figure.

We also worked on a worksheet that Hee-Lee had for homework from another class that asked three questions and wanted a few sentences in response. I can't remember all the questions, but they were very good, thought provoking question that we discussed for a while, the last ended up to be profoundly good. The question ask which type of personality we identified more with, were we a fast paced person or were we a more laid back, slower paced type person? I answer first and then Hee-Lee, so she could listen to me and then try for herself while I corrected/helped her with some words/ideas. But our real "ah-ha" moment was when she said she wanted to play golf more because she felt like most of her life she had been running around a lot, super busy all the time and golf seemed like a good way to slow down and enjoy life a little more,  I agreed and explained that her answer was an amazing analogy, comparing golf to life and that she should definitely use that in her answer.
