I met my new tutoring partner Shuo in the CIES building. Today we just introduced ourselves and talked about ourselves and what she hopes to learn from me. Shuo is a Chinese student from Beijing, her father is a television producer. Shuo is trying to pass the driving exam in Florida so she can buy and drive a car in the United States. Shuo wants to mainly work on her listening while she is with me. She told me how she thinks Tallahassee is boring compared to Beijing because everything is so far away here. Beijing on the other hand is densely populated, across the street from her house were many bars and clubs.

I told her about how I grew up in Miami, but grew up bilingual and would spend my summers in Spain.
