On the 10th PJ and I worked on a worksheet he had trouble with in school. The assignment was reading comprehension. The assignment was to read two stories and answer questions for each and then a long response comparing both stories. The long response was particularly difficult for PJ because he only remembered one of the stories and he could not respond accurately comparing both stories. He answered the rest of the comprehension questions perfectly. At times we would have to go back to the story to look for the answers but overall it went smoothly for PJ.
To help PJ with the story I would ask him to read 2 to 3 sentences and then ask give me a summary of what happened. If he has trouble with giving me a summary I will give him little hints until he understands what just happened. Overall PJ did great in this assignment and only had trouble comparing the two stories.
