Met with one of my tutees today early in the afternoon. We mostly just chit-chatted today, as she is about to go out of town and didn't want to work on anything in particular. I introduced my tutee to a game that I've played with other tutees called "Heads Up." It's actually a really great app on iPhone. There are several categories that you pick from and from each category a word pops up on the screen. You have to hold the iPhone to your head while your partner describes the word that's on the screen for you to guess. It's fast paced and it also records the video! So if you do it in groups it's hilarious to watch the playback. So we had fun with that for a little while and then parted ways. My tutee's speaking has definitely progressed throughout our time together- her words are flowing better and we are stumbling less over small errors (although, I still make tiny corrections when she makes serious errors).
